DAYTONA DIVA (6) raced on the pace when resuming last start and lifted strongly to hold second, beaten one length, over this journey at Launceston. In the right race and is a winning hope. SNOWDONIA (3) settled well back from the inside draw last start before coming home nicely to finish 1. 5 lengths away in fourth over 6f21yards at Launceston. Will drift back but is going to be hard to hold out. COAL RIVER (1) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 6f at this track, scoring by a nose. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Erica Byrne Burke was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped. SMIFFY (13) doesn't have the best strike rate but ran a strong race when resuming from a lay-off last time out over 5½f at this track, finishing fourth and beaten one length. Nicely placed to play a big role.
