FLYING BILLIE (4) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 1.5 lengths over 6f at this track. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins from four runs. Top chance again. NICCO THE GREEK (1) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic, finishing sixth and beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Finds a nice race and can atone. VERBANO (5) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 7f at Warrnambool when fresh from a break. Backmarker who gets home hard. Not to be discounted.
