Race Tip

FURNEAUX (2) is back after a break of four months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at Launceston. Comes here with definite claims. SHOOTING NORTH (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when when resuming after a lay-off last start before fading to finish seventh, beaten 1.4 lengths, over 5¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Sure to give a great sight. POWER MAGNUM (3) was far from disgraced when fourth last start over 5¾f at Devonport Synthetic, beaten 0.7 lengths. That followed a win at Devonport Synthetic the start prior. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. STEEL MIST (19) was well beaten last time and finished at the tail at this track but carries less weight. Better than last start and may well be worth another chance.
