Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. THE RIDGE (3) returns from a layoff of nine months. Scored over 5f at this track at the start of last prep. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. ANCIENT MAN (4) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing eighth over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt) most recently. Well placed and should be about the mark.
