BRANNUM (4) gave a bold sight at the latest appearance over 1m1 1/2f at Newcastle but dropped out to finish eighth. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Best figures should see him run well. ARANESE (10) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Wyong, beaten 3. 5 lengths into fourth after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. ABOVE THE LAW (1) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by half a length over 7¼f at Illawarra Grange. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. FLYING GREY (5) got off the mark when resuming from a lay-off over 6¾f at Wyong last start, scoring by a head. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Christian Reith was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Harder this time but still one to consider.
