BARRACKS (2) filled a placing last time over 4½f at Newcastle and has been given a short break. Kept ticking over with a trial win since at Warwick Farm. Has ability and should be right in the finish. OXFORD POWER (3) stepped out on his debut over 6f at Wyong two-and-a-half weeks ago and finished fifth, beaten 6 lengths. Will have a lot more to offer this time. PORTICO (4) failed to threaten on debut last start, finishing in the second half of the field and 8 lengths from the winner over 5½f at Randwick Kensington. With natural improvement he can feature in the finish. MANISHA (6) is appearing for the first time. By Prague and comes from the Michael Vella stable. Comes here off a Hawkesbury trial. Worth watching for a betting push.
