STATE OF AMERICA (8) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign when he made late ground and finished just 0.7 lengths from the winner in third over 1m1f at Randwick Kensington. Worth noting Zac Lloyd goes aboard. Looks well placed so expect another big run. ALMANIA (1) has been freshened since finishing seventh over 1m2f in the LR Randwick City Stakes (Canterbury Cup). Fitness level should be good following a subsequent Newcastle trial. Best figures measure up favourably. FLYING TRAPEZE (5) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 3.5 lengths when 12th in a 7½f contest at Muswellbrook a week-and-a-half ago. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. SUPER STRIKE (7) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into ninth over 7f at Rosehill. Fitter and sure to run well.
