MAYNE (2) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing a nose from the winner in third over 6½f at Warwick Farm. Can get off the mark this time. RUGBY (3) made a promising debut over 6¼f at Canterbury on June 10 finishing a long neck away in third and has not been produced since. Ran fifth in a trial at Rosehill over 4½f. Will be better for that experience so he is going to take some stopping. DARLING DOWNS (1) is back after a break of five-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff she finished fourth over 6½f at Warwick Farm. Has had the benefit of two trials leading into this. Rates highly and is a chance to break through. DUBAI DAME (11) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 3.5 lengths when tenth over 6½f at this track. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
