CROSS THE RUBICON (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 7f at Randwick eight days ago after being prominent at the turn. Won't find this as tough so she will be hard to beat. FROM THE BUSH (4) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when one length away in third over 7f at Mudgee when he was in the firing line all the way. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. EXCEED PERFECTION (10) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 1m at Newcastle. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. LET ME REIGN (11) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Warwick Farm, beaten 4 lengths into seventh. Better than recent efforts suggest.
