GROOVIN' IS BAK (4) travelled just behind the leader before taking over and scoring a determined win by half a length over 6½f here last time. Likely to be in the finish again. STANFORD NORTH (7) did a great job to score by 1.3 lengths over this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. EXTRA INNINGS (5) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 1m1/2f at this track after being prominent at the bend. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within his grasp. BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT (6) was beaten 9 lengths into sixth in a 1m1/2f contest at this track last time out. Ridge Balgobin gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Nicely placed to find some form.
