CONNI ISLAND (13) has not raced since his debut on July 14 over 6f at Wodonga when he finished fifth, beaten 9 lengths. With the blinkers added is sure to go well. STRUM (3) could only manage seventh two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6f at Cranbourne, beaten 2.5 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Has the class to produce another positive result. LEFT ON READ (4) resumes from a lay-off of four months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 6f at Murtoa. Nicely placed and can get off the mark. REDEMPTION TIME (7) is a 12-start maiden who has been in the money five times. Could only manage fifth at the latest appearance over 5f at Seymour. Has a solid record at this journey, finishing in the money on four occasions. Comes down a level this time. Don't underestimate.
