WATERMELON (1) has been in the market at his last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest 11th at Gold Coast over 1m3f. Can improve and is a leading player on best figures. RAPID DUDE (4) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Less impressive last time out when fourth over 6f196yards at Bundaberg, beaten 10 lengths. Taking on a better field but he is capable of running a bold race. STORMTROOPER (5) did his best work late and finished 2 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 6f at Kilcoy, an improvement on his seventh at this track the run before. Has the talent to take this out. ONOMATOPOEIA (2) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 17 lengths away in 12th over 1m1 1/2f at Toowoomba. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
