ROCKY BLONDE (12) turned in a moderate midfield finish when resuming from a lay-off two weeks ago over 4f at Ipswich. Will strip much fitter so she is a leading contender. CHIEF BY (1) is ready to win after another minor placing last start, finishing second over 4f76yards at Toowoomba when he was handy all the way. Faces an easier assignment so he is ready to find the winners' list. HANDSOME PRINCE (3) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Nanango, beaten 2 lengths into seventh. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. OUR ESPRIT (9) is a 19-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 8 lengths when tenth over 6½f at Sunshine Coast. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time.
