COSSACK WARRIOR (1) was prominent on the corner and battled on well to finish second last start over 6½f at Armidale, beaten 0.6 lengths when fresh from a lay-off as favourite. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. STRASSMAN (8) will find this a little easier than his second on debut two-and-a-half weeks ago, beaten 2.25 lengths at the end of 6½f at Armidale. Sure to take a lot from that hitout so he should be in the finish again. PENSATIVA (14) is a three-start maiden who finished fourth, beaten 3 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Tamworth. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come. INJAIR (3) was in contention on the bend and finished second last time over 6f at Inverell when resuming from a lay-off, beaten one length. Going up a level this time but he has the ability to mix it with them.
