WHATASTAR (5) turned in a fine effort to win by 1. 1 lengths at this track and distance last start in a far better run. Taking on a better field but she is capable of another big run. CAPTAIN'S PRIDE (7) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Greyville over 7f. Likely improver with strong prospects. PLUMBAGO PARK (8) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished third at Vaal two starts back then got the job done by 2 lengths last time out over 6f at Vaal. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. RUBY RISING (6) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when she was beaten 2. 75 lengths into fifth over 5f at Scottsville. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
