POWER OF PEARLS (5) is back after a break of ten weeks. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at her latest appearance over 5¾f at Turffontein Standside. Opened last prep with a minor placing at Vaal over 6f. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. SIERRA FOXTROT (3) is on debut for the Glen Kotzen stable. Three-year-old filly by What A Winter from Whisky Tango. Should acquit herself well. Keep an eye out for any positive market movement. HIGHVELD STORM (6) returns after nine weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a seventh over 6f at Scottsville. Good effort to launch last prep when in the money at Scottsville over 6f. Nicely placed and can get off the mark. DONMAGOO (4) is yet to break through in 10 runs but has been thereabouts. Placed in a then was 4. 5 lengths away in fourth over 6f at this track last time. The blinkers go on. Suited here and can sneak into the finish.
