SOVEREIGN COMMAND (8) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten a neck, over 6f at this track. Can go on with it. XIPHOS (4) is a five-start maiden who is knocking on the door, the latest effort a solid fourth at this track over 6f after being prominent at the turn. Ideally placed to shed the maiden tag. HAMILTON HERO (2) did little and finished 10 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1m at Scottsville last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth on debut at Greyville the run before. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. QUINCY TOWN (6) resumes from a lay-off of four months. Could only manage to finish fifth at the latest run over 1m at this track. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
