Cape Derby winner GREEN WITH ENVY (5) is building an excellent record with five wins from nine starts, the latest in the G2 KZN Guineas at this track. Has a strong association with Craig Zackey who has been in the saddle for his last three wins. Should be in the finish. Group 2 winner HLUHLUWE (6) finished 2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at this track when when resuming from a lay-off. Steps up in journey. Grant Van Niekerk is back on and has a solid record on the three-year-old, including four wins. Fitter and looks sure to play a big role. Group 2 winner PURE PREDATOR (3) finished second two runs back in the G1 SA Derby at Turffontein Standside then improved last time out to score by 0.8 lengths as public elect over 1m2f in the G2 Colorado King Stakes at Turffontein Standside. Richard Fourie scored on him last time and retains the ride. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within his grasp. FLAG MAN (2) resumed over 1m1 1/2f at this track last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by 1.4 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
