Group 3 placegetter ARIVIDICIO (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.5 lengths from the winner in third over 7¼f at Turffontein Inside. Finds a more suitable contest and can take the next step and salute. GIAMBATTISTA (8) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 7f at Scottsville. Richard Fourie who has five wins when partnering stays on. Leading contender. RELEASE ME (6) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 4.5 lengths away in seventh over 1m at Scottsville. This is a nice drop in grade so he can find the winners' list. WINTER WAVES (9) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a third most recently over 7f at this track when beaten 2 lengths. Has the speed to overcome the draw. Must be respected.
