SOUTH BOAMBEE (9) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 5f21yards at this track, scoring by a long neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and he is a leading contender. SPRING EAGLE (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when sixth, beaten 6 lengths, over 6f at Pakenham after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Should be peaking now and looks a clear threat. JEUNE DREAMON (10) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3.5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 5f at Taree. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. STRATUM CHIEF (7) finished seventh over 7f at Taree at his most recent appearance on April 28. Lines up. For the first time for trainer t j higgins. Definite top-three chance.
