HERE COMES HOGAN (1) finished second, beaten 0.6 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4½f at Scone. Stepping up a level this time but he is right in contention. MISS MOOV (9) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when tenth in a 7f contest at Sunshine Coast a month ago after being in contention on the turn. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough to take this out. ONE SMART COOKIE (6) finished second as favourite last time out over 6f at Sapphire Coast, making it two minor placings from three career starts. Tricky draw again but she is a real danger. ROMI (13) missed the frame last time out when tenth over 5f at Ballina. Still a maiden but has been in the money on four occasions. Has a good record at this distance with four top-three results from seven starts. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Sure to be thereabouts.
