XCESSIVE FORCE (5) was only a neck from the winner in second last time out in a small field over 7f at Canberra at the first run of the campaign on soft going. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Leading contender. ROSE AYE (3) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 5½f at Nowra. Can figure prominently. FRISKEE FROG (7) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 16 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 7f at this track, beaten 6 lengths. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. XCEPTIONAL FELLA (4) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 2.25 lengths into fourth over 5f at Albury. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time.
