LUNA BAY (8) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when when resuming after a lay-off last start before fading to finish eighth, beaten 7 lengths, over 6½f at Newcastle. Likely to measure up. BARRENGARRY (3) recorded a strong maiden win over 1m at Newcastle last time, getting there by 2 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he cannot be discounted. EMERALD HILLS (7) got the job done in grand style last start, scoring by half a length over this journey at Newcastle after stalking the lead. One of the main contenders. SERPICO (5) registered his first win when resuming last start over 6¾f at Wyong, getting home by a nose. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
