HONEY PERFUME (3) finished third, beaten 2 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Scone. Likely improver with bright prospects. CALIFORNIA COMMAND (1) started at 11/8 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths at Wyong over 5½f. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. HAPPY BELLIE (5) is a maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing in the placings over 6f at Kembla Grange ten months ago. Fitter for four trials, placing most recently. Should be involved in the finish. DAVIKAR (8) settled well back and made a little late ground when 4 lengths away in sixth over 5f at Scone on debut last start. Strong top-three chance.
