EYE OF THE EAGLE (3) finished off last campaign with a sixth over 7f at Sandown-Hillside on September 10 and has since switched trainers. Tuned up for this with a placing in a recent Beaudesert trial. Generally runs well when fresh with two wins and one minor placings from six runs. One of the main contenders. BOLD JULIUS (2) finished 2. 5 lengths back in third over 6f at Sunshine Coast last time out after a gutsy win two runs back. Leah Martyn is back on and has a solid record on the five-year-old, including two wins. Should be hard to stop. STANISLAUS (4) lifted strongly to get the prize by half a length three runs back at Sunshine Coast before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Should be poised just off the lead. One to consider. BEWS (1) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing tenth at Sunshine Coast over 6f. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake.
