NORTH OF ELI (5) resumed over 5f at this track last start and after showing little early speed closed hard to score by 1. 5 lengths. In form and another big run is on the cards. MISHANI RENEGADE (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 5½f at Ipswich, beaten 8 lengths into seventh. This doesn't look as hard so he is perfectly placed to score. SPIRIT OF BRODIE (7) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 5½f at Gold Coast Poly. Best figures measure up nicely. Can do a lot better. TREPORTI (2) drifted back and never threatened when tenth last start over 6¾f at Doomben. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
