SMELTER (3) was in contention all the way and fought on for third last start over 1m3f at Gold Coast, making it three minor placings in a row. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. SAKURA MAGIC (9) switches to synthetic for the first time. Finished 14 lengths back in fifth on turf over 1m1/2f at Ipswich most recently. Bold showing expected with the blinkers added. NOT A SINGLE DRINK (2) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 7 lengths when fifth over 1m at Toowoomba a week ago. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. HONOUR BRIGHT (7) was prominent into the straight last time but was claimed late to finish 12 lengths away in sixth over 1m2 1f at Ipswich. Worth including in this suitable contest.
