BREAKING GROUND (1) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a second most recently over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly when beaten half a length. Top chance. SADDLES (2) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when ninth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6¾f at Ipswich. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. AZURE PRIDE (3) was only 0.7 lengths away last time when third over 6¾f at Warwick after he was up on the pace all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Among the leading chances. CHAMPAGNES ON ME (14) has a moderate winning strike-rate but did a good job when returning from a break last time at Warwick, finishing second and only a long neck from the winner at the end of 6¾f. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
