DISCREET MISS (1) last appeared three-and-a-half weeks ago over 6f at Moruya when she finished sixth. This is her first run for the Kieren Hazelton stable. Expected to feature on best form. ZEPHYR WINGS (5) did his best work late and finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 5½f at Cowra, an improvement on his 11th at Echuca the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. WINNING STATEMENT (11) was safely held when 12th last time out over 5f at Muswellbrook, beaten 17 lengths. That followed a win at Wean at the previous outing. Has the ability to take this out. POWDERFINGER (6) was in the money two starts back at Wellington but couldn't back it up last time when tenth, beaten 6 lengths, at Wagga Riverside over 6f. Well placed and should be about the mark.
