Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. MAGNUS MAXIMUS (7) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten half a length, over 5f at Echuca when resuming after a break. Among the leading chances. TRUE LIES (12) is a locally trained maiden galloper resuming from a lay-off after finishing seventh over 7f at Ballarat at the latest appearance on March 20. Looks to be in good order after placing in a trial. Sure to be competitive. PARAMOUNT PLUS (8) is back after a break of six months. At the last run before the layoff he finished fifth over 6f at Ballarat. Opened last prep with a minor placing at Sale over 6f. Should be forward enough following three recent trials. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
