UPSTAGE (9) settled towards the tail when resuming last start then wound up strongly to finish 2. 75 lengths away in second over 6f at Kyneton. Well placed and should be hard to hold out. SILKY SETH (7) finished eighth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 7½f at Ballarat, beaten 2 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. BRUTAL TEMPO (4) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 6f at Yarra Valley when third, beaten a head. Has plenty of upside so he should be in the finish. TREBILCO (3) is a maiden who has filled a minor placing two times in five starts. Failed to threaten when 6 lengths from the winner in seventh when resuming last start over 6f at Pakenham. Expected to do far better this time.
