BARBARIC LAD (7) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at this track two starts back then got the job done by a head last time out over 6f at Caulfield Heath. Jamie Mott scored on him last time and retains the mount. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. SUPERNIMA (11) was fresh from a break of four months last start when beaten 2. 25 lengths into second over 5f at Pakenham after he was handy all the way. Yet to miss the frame over this longer journey. One of the main contenders. SHAALUTE (3) scored by a nose in a at Mornington then filled a placing last time at Pakenham. Drops a little in the weights. Record at this journey is impressive with three wins and two placings from seven runs and is expected to run well. SPARKLING (8) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when she was beaten 3. 5 lengths into seventh over 5½f at Caulfield. Strips fitter and can turn things around.
