PROPER TWELVE (9) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Terang. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. AMAPOLA (11) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Ballarat, beaten 8 lengths. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. HIGHLAND SAPPHIRE (13) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish seventh over 7f at Terang. One to watch for in the closing stages. ENUFF BRICKS (1) finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in sixth at his most recent appearance over 7f at Pakenham after he got a long way back in the run. Finds the right race and is worth consideration.
