COVERT WITNESS (6) could only manage sixth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at this track, beaten only half a length. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. LORD VALEN (5) is close to breaking through after finishing third last start over 5½f at Strathalbyn when he was handy all the way. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. FAIR LEGACY (7) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last time over 6f at Mt Gambier when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 0.7 lengths. Nicely placed to take this out. LADY LEANA (9) has not been sighted since she finished ninth over 5½f at Bordertown on February 23. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Sure to be competitive.
