HARD AS BROK (7) finished 2. 75 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Ipswich when fresh from a lay-off. Steps up in distance. Will appreciate the drop in grade. Well placed so expecting a strong run. MERCHANT LADY (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she got a long way back over 5½f at Beaudesert, beaten 3. 5 lengths into fifth. Must raise the bar but a big run will not surprise. FORTUNEER (3) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time when she was prominent throughout over 6f at Beaudesert. Facing a tougher assignment but she is good enough to take this out. PRIVALOVA (12) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly, beaten 5 lengths. Fitter and sure to run well.
