QICKWIT (3) stuck on well to finish second last start over 5½f at this track, beaten 0. 9 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. WORLDY SPIRIT (12) was sent out at long odds last time but ran above expectations to finish second, beaten only 1. 4 lengths, over 6f at Toowoomba. Must be a chance based on that latest effort. SURCOTE (7) finished second at Coffs Harbour two runs back but was less effective last time over 5f at Ballina, finishing 4 lengths back in sixth. Open to improvement and should be about the mark.
