GROOVE JET (8) made progress last time out, finishing 6 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5f at Gold Coast after being in contention on the corner. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. ONATARE (10) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time when she was in the firing line all the way over 6f at Goondiwindi. Meets a stronger field but she is worth serious consideration. KOBE ASCOT (4) ran below expectations last time at Goondiwindi, finishing eighth and beaten 6 lengths starting at 5/1. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is up to the task. DARE I SAY (7) returns after five-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fifth over 6f at Kilcoy. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Deagon trial. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
