Steps up in distance. Will appreciate the drop in grade. Should be in the finish. FRENCH EMPIRE (4) is yet to break through in seven runs. Finished ninth after being in contention on the turn at his last appearance over 7f at Gold Coast on June 21. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. JEDIAH (15) remains a maiden after 19 runs. Was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish fourth over 6f at Toowoomba. Worth including in this suitable contest. IHAVESEENTHELIGHT (5) is a four-start maiden who finished 12th, beaten 5.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Sunshine Coast. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
