PREPOTENT (3) travelled in a rearwards position then made some inroads and finished 2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6¾f at Ipswich two weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Will find this a little easier than last time. Better placed this time and is a genuine threat. AVENUE OF STARS (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly, beaten 1.4 lengths into sixth. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is set to turn things around. BIE'RES (8) hasn't been far off a win, the latest finishing fourth over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly, and is down significantly in the weights this time. Won't find this as tough. Should be involved in the finish. GENTLE PRINCE (5) will find this a little easier than his last run just seven days ago when seventh over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly. Well placed to atone.
