VERRAZANO FIRST (7) returned from a lay-off four weeks ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into seventh over 6f at this track. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Kevin Roman gets the best out of this eight-year-old gelding. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. COWORKER (9) showed good early speed last start over this journey at this track (Dirt) before finishing second, beaten a nose. Ready to go one better.
