ROYAL CONSORT (3) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 0.3 lengths from the winner in second over 4f at this track after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. PUNCH EM (7) last appeared five weeks ago over 6f at this track when he finished seventh. This is his first run for the Ryan Stivers stable. One of the genuine hopes in the race. JUSTIN SPEIGHT (2) was in the firing line all the way and fought on for third last start over 4f at this track (Dirt), making it two minor placings in a row. Likely improver with strong prospects. PROPERLY CONNECTED (1) was safely held and never threatened last time when eighth at this track (Dirt) but gets some weight relief. Better than last start and may well be worth another chance.
