NAVY KING (1) is racing well, scoring by half a length in a at Moonee Valley then finishing a respectable fourth last time over 1m2 1/4f at Moonee Valley when not too far away. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Will play a major role. KARBURAN (4) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2 lengths when fourth in a 1m4f contest at Sandown-Hillside three-and-a-half weeks ago after being prominent at the turn. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. THURMOND (9) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by 1.3 lengths last time out over 1m4f at Bendigo. Has a formidable combination with Linda Meech who has been aboard for his last three wins. Certainly one to consider. HAALAND (11) finished third last time over 1m2 1/4f at Seymour, beaten 2.25 lengths. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance.
