HIGHVOL (1) raced just off the lead before letting down nicely and scoring a head win over this journey in the LR ANZAC Day Stakes at this track last time. Nice class drop this time. Major player. WARRIOR SMILE (2) showed good speed and led for much of the way before being claimed in the straight and fading to finish fifth, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 7f here last time. Blinkers added in a positive sign from the stable. GABLE (4) is a talented gelding who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 4 lengths behind Highvol over 7f in the LR ANZAC Day Stakes at this track. Blinkers come off. Expected to be competitive. THE OPPORTUNIST (3) was a dominant winner last time over 6f at Warrnambool, drifting well back but unleashing late to run away with a 3 length win. Will be doing his best work late.
