AMERICAN HALITE (5) drifted well back when resuming last start before winding up strongly to just miss when second over 1m at this track (Dirt). Should run on into the finish again. NEW MATTHEW (6) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 9 lengths away in sixth over 1m at this track. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. FAST AMENDMENT (7) is knocking on the door after three minor placings from three runs since resuming from a lay-off, most recently finishing second over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt) on July 20. Keiber J Coa has been in the money at the last three rides. Should be involved in the finish. SO SPIRITED (1) was beaten 10 lengths into fourth in a 1m contest at this track last time out. No surprise to see him in the frame.
