BARBED WIRE BARBIE (8) is knocking on the door after three minor placings from three runs since resuming from a lay-off, most recently finishing second over 5½f at Laurel Turf (Turf) on June 12. Has a high cruising speed. Leading contender. KAY ROAD (2) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished 6 lengths from the winner in second over 7f at Aqueduct after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. PLAYINGON BROADWAY (9) finished third last time over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 12 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Placed to advantage so expect another forward showing.
