ALMOND CIDER (3) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Parx (Dirt), finishing second and only 0.8 lengths from the winner at the end of 5½f after being in contention on the corner. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. OLD MAN WINTER (2) returns from a lay-off of five months and did win when resuming last time in work over 4½f at this track (Dirt). One of the genuine hopes in the race. LOOKIN' SUPER (5) last appeared when he finished second over 6½f at Parx (Dirt) on December 30. Has switched to the Timothy P Murphy stable. One to consider.
