WILD FIG (6) is overdue for a win with two recent placings, the latest finishing third over 1m at Fairview, and is down in the weights this time. Richard Fourie has registered two minor placings when on board. Best form puts him right in this. PYRO EDITION (1) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound third over 7f at Fairview. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race. PIBE DE ORO (2) is back after a break of four months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1m at this track. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Definite top-three chance. BIRD ON A WING (7) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 9 lengths away in tenth over 7½f at Kenilworth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
