SEVERANCE (3) took advantage of the good draw and sat on the pace last start before tiring to finish fourth, beaten 2. 5 lengths, over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt). Solid top-three claims. ASPIRING COMEDIAN (5) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at this track (Dirt) when he worked home well, beaten 10 lengths. Should take a lot from that hit-out. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
