MYSTIC POWER (8) settled towards the tail then wound up strongly to finish 4 lengths away in third when resuming last start over 6f at Hawthorne (Dirt). A repeat of the latest effort will see him in the finish again. AMERICAN WARRIOR (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 9 lengths when fifth over 6½f at Tampa Bay Downs seven-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is sure to be prominent. MR CHIVAS (2) turned in a fine effort to win by half a length at this course and distance when resuming from a lay-off last time out. No reason he cannot salute again. DENNIS'S PRIDE (5) is having his first run since August 17. Goes very well when fresh - has not been out of the money in three when resuming runs and did win over 6f at this track at the start of last prep. Top-three claims.
