DEFI NONANTAIS (3) returned from a layoff last start and was supported before pulling up at Lingfield. Will be hard to beat if he gets it right with the blinkers fitted for the first time. RIVER RUN FREE (4) didn't run badly when beaten 6L into fourth in at Uttoxeter. Sure to be harder to beat this time with cheekpieces on. VALIRANN GOLD (5) did fairly well when he finished third at Fontwell Park two runs back. Less effective last time when 4L away in sixth at this track. Hard to leave out. SAINT CYR DE PAIL (2) yet to feature this season. Needs to bounce back but still has scope for improvement.
